Wow. I never thought filming can be THAT hectic. We were filming yesterday for half a day! Straight! And despite trying to finish up before midnight, so that we won't get the midnight surcharge, we got the midnight surcharge. But we shared the cab, so it's alright.
Wow, yea the filming. Filming started late because we were trying to figure out the lighting and also waitted for the cleaners at the car park to be done at the level we wanted to film at. Before that, we were also waiting for Ee Seng, who is also helping out another group's filming at the other end of the island. And he only started to read his lines on the spot due to printer problems at home and difficulty sending his the script via email. The first scene was estimated to stretch for 2 hours, but it went longer cos ES kept forgetting his lines! And it was going dark. By the time we went down to the park nearby, it was going dark so far we didn't have time to pursue with the park scene. So we scratched that scene out and replaced it with one under the block, where the lights are much stronger and brighter. We ate our dinner right there and went on to the car park again, this time the rooftop to film the last scene.
That scene was the most troublesome of all because it was soooo dark and the lights from the lamp post are too orange-y and that the lightings we used casted harsh shadows and sometimes made our heads appeared black in the camera viewfinder. That's the point where I started to get frustrated because I was feeling tired, honestly, and I have no idea why but I felt more hungrier by the minute which made me more pissy. Argh. I'm so sorry for the residents there if they heard me screaming FUCK. Didn't mean to say it out so loudly but, yea it was frustrating whenever the camera had to change position, the lighting got screwed up again and had to be fixed yet again.
Thanks to my crew who was being so patience with everything and understand what I wanted and etc. Thanks to Ee Seng and Kevin for being my wonderful co-stars, despite the lines problem. I promise I will not make such long-winded scripts anymore. =] Thanks to Nurul for buying us dinner, greatly appreciated!! Thanks to Ai Wee for letting us use her house to place our equipments there and use her electricity supply to charge our batteries.
Charging our portable lights for 7 hours will allow 3 minutes of usage.
Thanks to Nurul again for being our assitant director. <3333. And I did noticed the condition of our key grip, Yan. Thanks for being there and productive despite feeling so down and sick. Thanks to Sherilyn for being the strong woman and carry the boom pole over your head to get the best audio. Thanks to Wei Zheng for being such a good camera, though I really think the camera likes m - why do you think we can hear sound when I operate it, when the sound went dead when you are there? Hehhe, no lah, you are awesome with the camera works too.
But argh, still not over yet. Gotta return the equipments on time or we'll be fined $50! And we have to plan the post-production. Wow. I have to get used to this.
So ummmmm, if I go up and charge this for say ... half an hour.. That will be like using the lights for say.. one second?!

CANI assignment is all done. Thank god everything about it went smooth, animations and rendering and all, phew. Think my body clock should return to normal, no.
I have to stay late into the night to solidify my VIDP story so that my team mates actually understand what my story is all about. They chose my story to film because they say that it's more easier to film. I so hope they are right. Then I gotta construct the script. after re-reading them, I so hope the story don't last more than 5 minutes. Now, I gotta hand out the roles, brainstorm the locations, props, attire and etc. And I need actors. 3 actors. Argh. But I don't mind being Kelly, cos since it's my story and I'm doing the directing and producing whatnots, I know best what the character is suppose to go through. It's kinda like doing self-portrait photography, which I've been doing for awhile, you know best how to express the message across. Shrugs. I'll talk about this to them tomorrow, hopefully, they have their own storyboards done and we can finalised everything tomorrow and get filming started by next week. I don't expect them to do their storyboards well, cos there's still IWED assignment to complete. I mean, my group is still not even 50% done with it, so yea, I know the rush they are going through. Hah, I am so throughtful, don't you think? ;)
Speaking of IWED assignment, my classmate's bag was stolen today. In the crowded foodcourt 6. They left their bags on the table to 'choppe' it, just like all of us do. They left to buy food, and 5 minutes later, they came back and her bag was gone. Someone saw 2 boys wandering around their table when they were queing up. And it's those big sling bag. I mean, who would wanna steal a big bag? And even when there's people around? Gosh. And everything that belongs to her was gone in one shot - discman, wallet, hp, thumbdrive and assignments, one for IWED. Poor thing. I would cry too if my huggable Nike bag went missing and my mp3 player, hp, wallet and digi cam were inside as well. It's soo terrible. She reported it to the School. I hope they catch the culprit. Or culprits.
And now about digi cam, my camera finally gets to take the dreaded journey to Paya Lebar, where it is being servicing right now. =( Booo hooo hoooo. It all started 2 days agao, when the lens can't extend itself out. It just got stuck inside the camera inside which result in a zoom error. I was absolutely mortified when Dad can't fixed it and have to send it for servicing. On the other hand, it'll be a wonderful reason to buy a new camera now. =D I got my eyes on the Canon PowerShot A520. Of course I would soooooo want a DSLR. An EOS 350D would be a dream come true for me already. But the person in-charge of the money department will most probably not agree with me. DAD. So yea, the A520 is soo fine with me, really. =) I wanntttt.
Ahh. 4 tests right after the term break. Not much of the holiday, since filming's gonna take up most of the time from there and there will be the studying as well. And the continuation of some of the assignments.
PTN lunch at Swensen'ssss!! The whole class is going for Swensen's with our class lechy, Mr Ho. The teapot guy, if you can recall ;) Yippyy. After all those miscommunication, it's confirmed. This Friday, 5pm-ish, Swensen's at Holland V. Preferably come with an empty stomach. =) And after that, it's shopping for us 3 girls, before Zak fly off to Holand (is it one 'l' or two for this? hmm) to represent Singapore in the World Music Competition. Go Zak Go!
I'm waiting for my new frames to arrive. I can't wait, it's so purdy and big and black with a lil hint of red. Lovelyyy.
So I chose Visual Effects and Music and blah bla for moving inages. Whatever. I think I should have went for Visual Basic, but I think I can handle enough programming already.
I want money, please.

I'm on a tight schedule. Very tight. I've got pictures to take tomorrow evening. I've got to take those pictures to photog class on Wednesday. Back from school after that, I've gotta burn midnight oil for 3 days to complete character animation (cani) assignment. Which btw, is not even 50% done. It's hardly even 25% done. Why? Why???
... Well maybe because I've never liked modelling boxes or animating since morg was introduced to me last year. It's just one of the rare things that made me feel so frustrated easily. Argh, damn you cani and morg. Advance cani is soooo not on my life-achievement list.
Blue category:
- Visual Effect
- Design and Aesthetics
- Interactive Computer Graphics
Yellow category
- Visual Basic Programming
- Music and Sound for Moving Image (MUMI)
Electives for next semester. We've got to choose one from blue and one from yellow. I do not, I repeat. I do not want to take ANYTHING from the yellow category. I enjoy music very very much, but I don't enjoy making music, period. And as for VBP. Fuck, more Java for me? NO!! In the blue category, definitely VE. D&E, maybe, maybe not. As IGRA, fuck, again no. You know what it's all about? It uses the freaking Java to draw pictures. Not just draw a line or some squares like last year. No. It uses some sorts of whatever shits to draw a tree. A normal looking tree I mean. Using Java. Heck they even use it to draw a freaking landscape!
NOO!!
And I heard that alot of the students don't want to take anything in yellow. So we shall see. But if nothing can be done about it, I rather have mumi than be stuck with java again. But seriously, I dowannn. Argh. Argh. Argh.
Yes, very pissy now. Don't have Illustrator now to do the background of the background (if there's such a thing) for cani, so I'm basically stuck. Whatever, will continue tomorrow.
On a side note, sad news in London. I was seriously scared cos I know that Sue Anna is there for a holiday with her family. Thank god she and her family are safe and well. She was at Egware (sp?) Station minutes before that location went disastrous. Oh dear. Condolences to the victims and their families. Thinking back, it could have been us. With the IOC going on and most of the security centered there, oh dear, so terrible. Such things have to happen. It's sad to see what the world is turning into.
