hi everyone.
ok, i'm gonna write down this issue that's bothering me at this moment.
i came across this blog where the owner was talking about how she discovered that her belt that she recently bought is made of pigskin leather. she described her situation and even provided photos of her belt as well as links to sites that explains fully how this particular leather looks like.

now, curiosity got the best of me. i was wondering, have i come across such product before and do i actually owned some of them? likes shoes and handbags especially.
so i checked the usual suspects - belt, shoes and bags. belts and bags are good so far. however, i came across one pair of shoe of mine that has the uncanny and unmistakeable indication that the shoes has pigskin properties.
my pair of mondo shoes which i had bought less than a year ago.
now look closer. i see clusters of '3-dots'.

i am beyond stunned actually. cos i can safely recall that there weren't any labels anywhere near this shoe display that indicate this product has pigskin lining. and that not even the saleperson who handled me warned me of it.
sure, it has been 'washed', 'thorougly cleaned' or 'chemically cleared', and that's the arguement that some will say, but to each his/her own. but what upsets me that there weren't any warnings that came with it.
i have a good feeling that the salesperson may not even know that the shoe had pigskin lining! so are customers, especially muslim customers, are to know of such thing?
now, i don't want to go all politics here. but surely, this is an important issue and needs clarification. i'm gonna drop by to the shop soon to enquire about it to the salesperson/manager personally. to check if they know what's going on. after that, i may have to write in to MUIS about it.
okay no. i'll let my dad know what i just found and have him write about it.
so there. that's my dilemma. this whole pigskin issue! i hope for good outcome at the end of it.
